Identity System
During this project, I designed a set of books utilising a system I created. The books are Generation A by Douglas Coupland, The Order of Time by Carlo Rovelli, and The Years by Virginia Woolf.
I found that all the books share themes of time, as well as the macroscopic vs. microscopic nature of the universe. I used this to decide on my typeface: the aptly named “Univers”. Circles became the basis for the imagery of the covers because of their clear symbolism.
I printed out my covers on a Risography machine in order to achieve vivid colours and a tactile feel.
